The coronavirus was a major factor in this year’s championships, having less competitors than normal. Unfortunately, Spain Washinkai did not send students over this year and some of our officials were either injured or off due to illness.
However, it didn’t spoil the great atmosphere that was created by the students who did compete. It turned out to be a good day with a lot of happy students receiving medals for their hard work.
It was also good to see Dr Carl Anandan back as our tournament doctor. Carl, who has been back training for several months, was our Tournament Doctor throughout the 1990’s, along with Dr Geir Store.
The next Nationals are scheduled for Sunday 7th March 2021.
