This year Washinkai held its annual festive Instructors’ Dinner at a new venue in Ripley, Surrey on the 17th December.
The majority of clubs in the UK were represented and everybody enjoyed not only the quality of the food but also the quantity!
Sensei Thompson stated all the clubs were growing again after the devastating loss of members due to Covid and it was good to see that it wasn’t just juniors resuming, but also adults.
The evening finished with the presentation of the Graham Smith Memorial Trophy which was awarded to Sensei Chris Wateridge, 6th Dan, the Instructor of the Lydd Karate Club.
Everybody is looking forward to the New Year and the clubs returning in 2023.
