This year the Winter Gasshuku was held at the Nuffield Health & Fitness Centre in Chichester.
Clubs from Chichester, Denmead, Canons, SMKC, Tadworth, Dover and Lydd were in attendance on both days.
At the end of training on Saturday, Stednet Gray and Jean Wedja both took their 5th Dan grading. After a strong performance, both were successful. In the evening the group enjoyed an evening meal at the local ‘Wildwood’ restaurant in Chichester.
Sunday’s session was similar to Saturday, arduous for all participants. However, an hour was spent covering the rules for competition. This was of benefit to all officials as the Association has not held a competition since 2020.
On Sunday two students from Lydd were presented with their Dan Certificates: Troy Wright 2nd Dan and Celine Goddeeris 4th Dan.
The Gasshuku finished at 3.30 pm with everyone being exhausted and wanting to know the dates for the Spring and Summer Gasshuku.
